Back-to-M·A·C has run for more than 30 years. You return eligible clean, empty M·A·C products in store or by mail, and M·A·C recycles what it can and converts the rest to energy.
The U.S. page now describes the program as recycling only and doesn't mention a product reward, so don't expect a free lipstick. Check with your counter.
How to claim it

Clean out your empty M·A·C products.

Bring them to a participating M·A·C counter or store.

Or mail them to the online returns address listed on the Back-to-M·A·C page.

- Must be clean and eligible
